About

Small studio.Practical digital work.

Vangh Studio combines experience in operations, customer experience and process improvement with modern website, software and automation development.

It is a one-person studio, deliberately. You talk directly to the person who designs and builds the thing, decisions get made in a single conversation, and nothing gets lost in handoffs between departments.

Most of the work is for small and medium businesses that need something specific: a website that brings in enquiries, a process that stops taking a full day every week, or a tool that does the one job no off-the-shelf product handles well.

Background

My background is in operations and customer experience, working inside businesses, dealing with the systems people use day to day and the workarounds they invent when those systems get in the way.

That is where the interest in building came from: the same manual steps repeated every day, the same information re-entered in three places, the same customer question left unanswered because no one owned it. Most of these start as workflow problems, not software problems, which is why the first thing I do is map the process rather than open an editor.

The approach after that is deliberately unglamorous. It means understanding the real problem, keeping the solution as small as it can usefully be, and building it so it still works a year later without constant attention. I care more about whether something gets used than whether it wins an award.
